Protecting Alabama Communities Through Education, Training, and Collaboration
The Alabama Narcotic Officers Association (ANOA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving public safety throughout Alabama by advancing the education and training of law enforcement professionals who investigate illegal drug trafficking and related crimes.
Illegal narcotics, fentanyl, and other dangerous drugs continue to threaten Alabama’s families, schools, and communities. ANOA works to reduce those threats by providing advanced education, specialized training, and opportunities for collaboration among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Our programs strengthen the ability of officers to:
- Combat illegal drug trafficking
- Reduce overdose deaths and drug-related violence
- Protect children and vulnerable populations from drug abuse
- Improve investigative techniques and officer safety
- Share intelligence and best practices across agencies
- Promote partnerships that make Alabama communities safer
Although our training is provided to law enforcement professionals, the ultimate beneficiaries of our work are the citizens of Alabama. Every officer who receives advanced education through ANOA returns to their community better prepared to protect lives, investigate complex narcotics crimes, and remove dangerous drugs from our neighborhoods.
ANOA operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
